Liquid ICP

Bridge & Stake your ICP coins

The concept of Liquid Internet Computer Protocol (Liquid ICP) relates to the decentralized global computing platform of the Internet Computer (IC) created by the DFINITY Foundation using blockchain technology.

Liquid ICP refers to tokenizing IC tokens so they can integrate with decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and trade across blockchains. By making IC tokens interoperable, users can access various DeFi services, liquidity pools, and decentralized exchanges across different blockchain ecosystems.

The goal of Liquid ICP is to improve the versatility and utility of IC tokens through enhanced interoperability, potentially increasing liquidity, enabling cross-chain transactions, and allowing IC token holders to utilize a wider range of decentralized apps and financial services.

LICP

The LICP governance token powers the Liquid ICP decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Liquid ICP primarily provides an interoperability bridge between the IC and Polygon chains and a staking platform for IC coins on Polygon with a 1 week lockup and a farming mechanism for the LICP token.

Staking

The ICP staking functionality on Polygon is enabled due to the 6 month to 8 year freeze period on Dfinity. LICP holders can collect farming incentives from the decentralized bourse supplied.

s-Bridge

Proceeds from LICP sales capitalize the fractional reserve liquidity for the interoperability span. This facilitates swapping wrapped ICP (from Dfinity) with ICP-20 (wrapped ICP on Polygon).

st-ICP

Post crossing, users can stake their ICP-20 and obtain liquid staked assets dubbed st-IC (staked IC) without liquidity fetters, transferrable anytime.

NNS

Part of LICP sales are also deposited in Dfinity’s Network Neural System (NNS) to harvest rewards for LICP buybacks and furnish liquidity for LICP reservoirs on Polygon. The st-IC tally corresponds to the traversed ICP plus NNS yields.

Polygon

Presently LICP can be bartered and cultivated on Polygon via DEXs. After the span launch, Liquid ICP will furnish insurance, lending and borrowing solutions for ICP-20 on Polygon.

Liquid ICP Whitepaper

Liquid ICP (LICP) is a staking bridge facilitating users to earn staking rewards from the Internet Computer's NNS without locking ICP or maintaining liquidity. This token operates as an alternative for governance within the Internet Computer ecosystem.
